Tec basics

Consists of two knowledge development segments, one practical application and two no stop dives. Designed for divers who want to get experience and develop skills with tec dive equipment configurations while focusing on their buoyancy and trim. This course is also useful for technical divers who may need a refresher or an orientation to a new dive equipment configuration.

Tec Basics is a multi-use course that focuses on orientation to new dive equipment, technical diving skills, and techniques. It is an optional level that can help divers explore new equipment configurations and refine their foundational skills before moving on to Tec 40 Diver.

Equipment to be prepared by yourself

  • BCD
  • Regulator ( 210cm long horse )
  • Torch
  • DSMB (Spool/30meters and Surface marker buoy or Lift bag)
  • Backup Mask
  • Dive computer
  • Wrist type Compass
  • Cutting device
  • Slate and pencil
Student Prerequisites
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Equivalent
  • PADI Enriched Air Diver
  • 15 years old

Recommendation from TEAL ORANGE DIVE

  • Have a own equipment
  • Usually perform the frog kick( helicopter turn, backward kick )
  • 100 logged dives

Introduce a section of the Tec basics course

Buoyancy control

With two tanks on the back as doubles , basic skills such as normal hovering, helicopter turns, and back kicks will be performed while mounting a total of three tanks.
