What to expect
Minna Island is a small island located northwest of the main island of Okinawa. Currently, about 50 people live on the island, which also has an elementary and junior high school. It can only be reached by boat from the main island of Okinawa. Dive points are located on the east side of the island. There are several separate reefs on the white sandy beach, where many fish are schooling.

Dive points at Minna / Sesoko island
labyrinth

As the name suggests, features several narrow channels, making it a dive point where one could easily get lost. Swimming through tight spaces between rocks leads to a mesmerizing underwater world, where schools of Big-eyed soldierfish are illuminated by the sunlight, creating a fantastical scene. With shallow average depths, this dive site is enjoyable even for Open Water divers.
Anemone mountain / Shark house

This dive site is home to four out of the six types of anemonefish that can be found in Japan. Additionally, there are other underwater creatures to observe seasonally, such as small white-tip sharks, ribbon eel moray, schools of Golden sweeper, and schools of Luminous cardinal-fish. With shallow depths, this spot is enjoyable even for Open Water divers.
Port side

Located near the Minna Island Fishing Port, this dive site spans from a shallow depth of 6m to 25m. In the shallower areas, you’ll encounter healthy coral reefs, while in the deeper sections, coral formations are scattered across sandy terrain. Divers have the opportunity to observe schools of Golden sweeper, among other fish, including the beautiful Ryukyu sweepers.

There are several scattered reefs in the sandy area, serving as the habitat for schools of Bluestripe snapper fish. Additionally, there are schools of Gurukun and yellowtail blue snapper. Depending on the seasonal changes in water temperature, divers may also encounter rare underwater creatures such as frogfish and Leaf scorpionfish at this site.

Meeting point
We meet up at Toguchi port at 7:30am.
Once you arrive, assemble your equipment on the boat.
Change into your wetsuit, and ride on the boat.
The trip to the dive point takes about 15 minutes.
