General Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, courses, guided dives, charters, and related services provided by TEAL ORANGE DIVING - TOD. By making a reservation or participating in any activity, you agree to the following terms.


1.1 All certified divers must present a valid certification card from a recognized training agency.

1.2 Divers must be in good physical condition and fit for diving. A completed medical questionnaire is required prior to participation. If any medical condition is disclosed, a physician’s written clearance may be required.

1.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual deemed unfit to dive or whose behavior may compromise safety.

1.4 Proof of dive insurance covering scuba diving activities (including technical diving where applicable) may be required.


2.1 Reservations are confirmed only after receipt of a deposit or full payment, as specified at the time of booking.

2.2 Full payment must be completed prior to the start of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2.3 Prices are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed.

2.4 Bank transfer fees, currency exchange fees, or transaction charges are the responsibility of the participant.


3.1 Cancellations made by the participant:

  • More than 4 days before the scheduled date: Full refund.
  • 3 days before: 50% of total fee.
  • The day before: 80% of total fee.
  • On the day: 100% of total fee.

3.2 No-shows or failure to meet departure times are non-refundable.

3.3 If a participant is unable to dive due to medical reasons on the day of activity, refunds are at the Company’s discretion and may require a medical certificate.

3.4 If the Company cancels due to weather, sea conditions, insufficient participants, or safety concerns, an alternative date, site, or full refund will be offered.


4.1 Dive sites, schedules, departure points, and vessels may change depending on weather, sea conditions, or operational requirements.

4.2 The Captain’s and Instructor’s decisions are final regarding safety and site selection.

4.3 No refunds will be issued for changes in dive site or shortened dives due to safety reasons.


5.1 Rental equipment must be treated with care and returned in the same condition as provided.

5.2 Participants are responsible for damage or loss caused by negligence or misuse.

5.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse rental if proper certification or experience is not demonstrated.


6.1 Course completion is performance-based. Certification is granted only when all required standards are met.

6.2 If a participant does not meet course requirements within the scheduled timeframe, additional training sessions may incur extra fees.

6.3 Academic materials and certification fees are non-refundable once issued or processed.


7.1 Participants in technical, cave, rebreather, or decompression diving must provide proof of appropriate certification and recent experience.

7.2 Equipment configuration must meet recognized technical diving standards. The Company reserves the right to deny participation if equipment or skills are deemed insufficient.

7.3 Gas fills for mixed gases (EANx, Trimix, Oxygen) are provided only to properly certified divers.


8.1 Scuba diving involves inherent risks including serious injury or death. Participants acknowledge and voluntarily assume all associated risks.

8.2 Participants are required to sign a liability release and assumption of risk agreement prior to participation.

8.3 The Company is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings.


9.1 Participants must follow all instructions given by instructors, divemasters, boat crew, and staff.

9.2 Unsafe behavior, intoxication, or violation of safety protocols may result in immediate termination of services without refund.

9.3 Respect for the marine environment is mandatory. Touching, damaging, or collecting marine life is strictly prohibited.


10.1 The Company may take photographs or videos during activities.

10.2 Unless otherwise requested in writing, participants grant permission for use of such media for promotional purposes.


These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate Japanese courts.
