TDI | Intro to Tech
Intro to Tech is your introduction to technical diving and the foundation for further technical diving training. This course focuses on the fundamental knowledge and skills you need to progress safely and efficiently into technical diving.
Throughout the course, you will work with new equipment and configurations while developing precise buoyancy control, horizontal trim, efficient propulsion techniques, and overall underwater awareness. The goal is not simply to introduce new gear, but to build the skills and mindset required for safe, controlled, and efficient technical diving.
Intro to Tech is the starting point for divers who want to develop solid technical diving fundamentals and progress toward advanced technical diving training.
What will l learn?
You will learn the fundamentals of technical diving equipment, configuration, trim, buoyancy, propulsion techniques, and situational awareness. These essential skills form the foundation for more advanced technical diving courses, including Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, and Trimix.

Introduce a section of the TDI | Intro to Tech
A New Configuration | Double tank , Twinset

A well-balanced double tank configuration allows you to maintain a stable horizontal trim, precise buoyancy control, and efficient movement underwater.
Proper weight distribution, trim, buoyancy, and equipment configuration are the foundation of safe and efficient technical diving.
Extend your dive time. Expand your range.
Intro to Tech does not specifically require twin cylinders as a mandatory piece of equipment. However, the course introduces you to a technical diving configuration and includes skills such as valve drills using twin cylinders.Since Intro to Tech is the foundation for further training such as Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures, you will learn the equipment configuration and essential skills required for diving with Doubles or Sidemount.

Some of the skills you will gain during the course
Balanced rig
The Foundation of Technical Diving
Precise buoyancy and stable trim are the foundation of safe and efficient technical diving. Throughout every training session, you will develop precise control of your position, breathing, and equipment until these skills become second nature. From basic buoyancy control to maintaining a consistent horizontal trim, every skill is built on the ability to stay balanced and controlled underwater.
Propulsion Skills
Move with Precision and Purpose
Technical diving requires more than simply knowing how to kick. You will develop a range of efficient propulsion techniques, including frog kick, modified frog kick, back kick, helicopter turns, and other specialized kicks for different underwater environments. Learn how to move efficiently while minimizing gas consumption, protecting the environment, and maintaining control of your equipment.
Safety Drills
Build Skills for Real-World Situations
Technical diving demands a high level of preparation and problem-solving under pressure. You will repeatedly practice essential skills such as controlled ascents, gas sharing, valve shutdowns, and SMB deployment. These technical diving safety drills are designed to develop reliable responses when something doesn't go according to plan.
Team Diving
Awareness, Communication & Teamwork
Technical diving is a team activity. You will learn how to maintain situational awareness, communicate effectively, and manage your position within the team throughout the dive. Your gas, equipment, position, and decisions can directly affect your teammates. We train you not simply to dive alongside others, but to operate as a coordinated and dependable technical diving team.
